Dance: Culturally diverse dance groups to perform at the Leo and Salaam festival

Beyond Belly Dance

The Leonardo will host 30 performers showcasing the evolution of dance from Africa to the Middle East.

When • Friday, Aug. 31, at 8:30 p.m.

Salaam Festival

The family-oriented festival will feature Central Asian dances, plus the fire-dancing Samba Fogo troupe and Rinceoiri Don Spraoi Irish Dancers.

The Rose Exposed

Repertory Dance Theatre, Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, SBDance and other resident arts organizations of the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center will perform.

When • Saturday, Sept. 1, from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., and 7 and 9 p.m.

Rocky Mountain Choreography fest

Imagine Ballet Theatre, along with Weber State University dance faculty, and the Utah Dance Education Organization will sponsor the Second Annual Rocky Mountain Choreography Festival. Entrees must not exceed 10 minutes. The application materials can be downloaded at http://bit.ly/SdQqWm
