A new video on the Funny or Die website sounds like a great advertisement for Utah tourism — up to a point.

The video's title — "Utah: A Great Place to Have an Abortion" — gives away the satiric dig contained within.

The video starts with a pitch for Utah's natural wonders, including national parks, deserts and lakes. "And," the narrator adds, "with our new 72 hour abortion waiting period, you'll have plenty of time to take it all in. ... With over 7,000 majestic campsites, you'll be asking yourself, 'Why isn't my abortion waiting period longer?'"

The fake ad also targets Utah's gun laws: "Use some of America's longest abortion waiting period to register for and own a firearm. No waiting there!"

Ouch.

The video is written and directed by Erin Gibson, who bills herself on her website as "Comedian. Actress. Feminist. Podcaster. Jerk. Writer at Funny or Die."
