Walking Salt Lake City Event

Former Deseret News writer Lynn Arave offers a minitour from his new book, Walking Salt Lake City, written with Ray Boren. The Wilderness Press book offers some 30 walking tours in Salt Lake City and its neighborhoods and includes Boren's photography.

James Dashner

Orem Library Community Writing Center

Orem Public Library has joined with Utah Valley University to establish a Community Writing Center. UVU's writing coaches will be available at the Orem Library to provide one-on-one writing sessions with individuals who desire assistance with writing projects, including school reports, college entrance essays, job résumés and cover letters, personal and family histories, and more.

When • Mondays though Thursdays, from 2 to 7 p.m., and Fridays from noon to 4 p.m.
