Police are trying to identify a body found in Rock Canyon in Provo and how the person died, The Daily Herald reports.

A hiker found the body near the canyon trail head on Wednesday morning, but Provo Police Lt. Mathew Siufanua could not confirm to the newspaper if the body was that of a man or woman, though it was apparently without hiking or climbing gear.

The Tribune will provide more details as they become available.
