Four people were injured, two of them critically, in a rollover accident off a ramp connecting Interstate 215 and Interstate 80 near the Salt Lake City International Airport.

At 9:41 p.m. on Thursday, the driver of a van lost control of the vehicle and it went off the left shoulder of the ramp leading from northbound I-215 to westbound I-80 and rolled, said Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson.

Two female passengers suffered critical injuries, and one of them was flown to the hospital in a helicopter. The other female passenger, a male passenger who suffered minor injuries and the driver, who also suffered minor injuries, were all taken in ambulances to the hospital.

No other information about the occupants or why the driver lost control was immediately available Thursday night.

UHP temporarily shut down the ramp to investigate the accident.
