Junior midfielder Kendra Pemberton scored an overtime goal to lift the Utah State women's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Utah Valley at Clyde Field on Sunday in Orem.

After a Utah Valley foul in the 96th minute, sophomore defender Taryn Rose launched a 55-yard shot into the box. Pemberton deposited the header past Wolverine goalkeeper Jessica Duffin for the winning goal.

Pemberton also had an assist on USU's first goal, sending a long pass to Jade Tarver, who scored in the 28th minute. With the win, the Aggies improved to 4-1-1.

Regan Benson scored an equalizer for UVU (1-3-0) in the 78th minute.

New Mexico St. 1, Southern Utah 0 • In Riverside, Calif., the Thunderbirds recorded a season-high 19 shots, but gave up the only goal of the game in the 43rd minute at the UCR Tournament.
