1. USC (1-0, 0-0)

The Trojans did what they were supposed to at Hawaii, but it wasn't enough to hold on to the No. 1 spot in AP Top 25.

2. Oregon (1-0, 0-0)

First-year QB Marcus Mariota was nearly flawless in opening-day romp against Arkansas State.

3. Utah (1-0, 0-0)

Tough to learn much about the Utes against Northern Colorado, but everything appears to be functioning properly.

4. Washington (1-0, 0-0)

It may be an impossible task for the Huskies: Go into LSU and win. But it would do wonders for the Pac-12's national reputation.

5. UCLA (1-0, 0-0)

The Bruins may not last this high, but QB Brett Hundley gave fans reason to be optimistic.

6. Stanford (1-0, 0-0)

The Cardinal were lucky to earn a victory against San Jose State. Running back Stepfan Taylor was a bright spot.

7. Arizona (1-0, 0-0)

The Wildcats will get a better idea of where they stand this week against No. 18 Oklahoma State.

8. Arizona State (1-0, 0-0)

The numbers looked great last week. However, there is a but (ASU fans hate big buts): It came against the FCS' Northern Arizona, against which ASU should be scoring 63 points.

9. Cal (0-1, 0-0)

Serious questions about the Golden Bears' defense after allowing 450 yards of offense and 27 first downs to Nevada.

10. Oregon State (0-0, 0-0)

The Beavers are yet to play, but sophomore quarterback Sean Mannion has a year of experience under his belt and will have better protection than in 2011.

11. Washington State (0-1, 0-0)

Washington State was horrible at BYU, despite thoughts that Mike Leach could make for a quick turnaround. Quarterback Jeff Tuel was held to 229 passing yards and two interceptions.

12. Colorado (0-1, 0-0)

Nothing about the Buffs' loss to the Mountain West Conference's Colorado State gave much hope that Colorado will be better than last year's 3-10 campaign.
