The rollover of a semi truck on Interstate 80 caused the closure of the eastbound lane and a small brush fire at Silver Creek Junction earlier Friday, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The crash diverted traffic to Highway 224 and through Kamas. Trooper Lawrence Hopper said a wrecker had been called to clear the truck at about 4:30 p.m. and traffic was expected to resume sometime Friday evening.

One land of the interstate was reopened shortly before 6 p.m.

Hopper said the truck, which was carrying a load of produce, rolled near mile marker 162 near Park City, coming to rest across the two lanes and scattering fruits and vegetables all over the roadway about 2:30 p.m. The crash also caused a small fire by the side of the road that was contained shortly after, Hopper said.

The driver of the truck was not seriously injured.
