Voter turnout in Utah is terrible and getting worse. In 2010, turnout was only 36 percent of eligible voters. Why aren't Utahns voting?

The League of Women Voters believes that not knowing what candidates think plays a major role in the decision not to participate. So we worked on a solution.

To become an informed voter, consult our Voters' Guide at votersguide.lwvutah.org. You'll find information on the proposed amendments to the Utah Constitution and links to pages for any candidate running for the U.S. House or Senate, Utah governor, attorney general, auditor, treasurer, House or Senate. You can access the Voters' Guide 24 hours a day.

All candidates were asked questions the league considers important. The candidates had 30 days to reply. We received answers from 43 percent of the candidates.

Answers are posted on the website just as received. If no answer was received by the deadline, that is noted. The candidates' contact information is provided so you can ask them your own questions.
