Melvins Lite, made up of some members of the seminal proto-grunge band The Melvins, performs at In the Venue, 219 S. 600 West, Salt Lake City. Opening act: Tweak Bird. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $15, at Smith's Tix outlets.

• Singer-songwriter Kishi Bashi performs at The State Room, 638 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Opening act: The Last Bison. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $12, at the venue's website.
