West Valley City — Utah Grizzlies coach and director of hockey operations Kevin Colley announced that the team has signed forward Tommy Maxwell for the coming season. Maxwell, 26, comes to Utah with 292 games of professional experience, including 137 in the ECHL and 155 in the American Hockey League. He has 19 goals and 38 assists, along with 937 penalty minutes, in his career. "Tommy's competitive nature and AHL experience will make him invaluable to us," Colley said. "He's been a winner and has played on contending teams the first six years of his career." Maxwell spent last season with the ECHL's Colorado Eagles.
