Alex Israel Exhibit — As It Lays

John Bell — The Next Supper

UMOCA will host a private performance by nationally emerging artist John Bell. During the performance, 68 guests will be seated at a long table in UMOCA's Main Gallery and invited to finish Bell's partially completed canvasses, using as raw materials the dinner and other objects on the table in front of them. Dale Nichols: Transcending Regionalism

Recognized as one of the four major regionalist artists, Dale Nichols created artwork in the Midwest during the Great Depression. He then turned toward the local landscape in hopes of creating a uniquely American art. This showcase features more than 20 paintings that span much of the artist's long career.
