If the poet John Keats did Utah's autumnal forecast for Tuesday, it might go like this: Barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day, and touch the stubble plains with rosy hue.
Less lyrical but perhaps more succinct, the National Weather Service predicts periodic thunderstorms and rain to punctuate balmy, cloudy days with high temperatures in the 70s along the Wasatch Front Tuesday, mirroring Monday's forecast. Southern Utahns, meanwhile, look for highs in the upper-80s, also with occasional storm clouds and rain.
That meteorological mix means improved air quality, too. The Utah Division of Air Quality is flying its "Green," or healthy breathing conditions flags statewide.
Salt Lake City is to hit 72 degrees Tuesday, duplicating Monday's readings; Ogden expects 70s both days; Provo 80 and 71 degrees; Logan 72 and 69; Wendover 74 and 70; Duchesne 67 and 69; Cedar City 72 and 76; St. George 86 and 90; and Moab 78 and 85 degrees.
