Civics Central: West Davis Corridor among issues on city agendas

Here's your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Bluffdale City • Plans an approval for a resolution to authorize the city to an easement agreement with Rocky Mountain Power and Utah Lake Distributing Company for a culinary water line project; Tuesday, Oct 9, 7:00 p.m., 14350 S. 2200 West. View the Bluffdale agenda.

Clinton City Council » Will consider a proposed change to the city zoning ordinance concerning required residential landscaping; Tuesday, Oct. 9, 7 p.m., 2267 N. 1500 West, Clinton. View the Clinton agenda.

Cottonwood Heights City Council » Will consider appointing Jeremy Lapin to the planning commission, also will consider changing employee appeals board to third-party members; Tuesday, Oct. 9, 7 p.m., Suite 300, City Offices at 1265 E. Davis County Commission • Has canceled its Tuesday, Oct. 9, meeting.

Draper City • Will review its budget and listen to a radio communications system presentation. The city will hold its Emergency Preparedness Executive Committee meeting at 4 p.m. on Oct. 10 at 1020 E. Pioneer Road. View the Draper agenda.

Holladay City Council • Will hold public hearings to consider surplus properties, and to possibly amend sign regulations to accommodate the needs of Canyon Slope Square, also an agreement for irrigation ditch easements for the Big Cottonwood Tanner Ditch Company; Thursday, Oct. 11, 6 p.m., Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 4580 S. 2300 East, Holladay. Midvale City Council • Will hold a workshop to discuss amending fees, main city park concepts and more; Tuesday, Oct. 9, 6:30 p.m., City Hall, 655 W. Center St., Midvale. View the Midvale agenda.

Midvale Planning Commission • Will hold a public hearing to consider conditional use permit for vehicle sales in the clean industrial zone; Wednesday, Oct. 10, 7 p.m., City Hall, 655 W. Center St., Midvale. View the Midvale Planning Commission agenda.

Orem City • Will discuss amending city code related to sign regulations and requirements for portable signs; Tuesday, Oct. 9, 6 p.m., 56 N. State St. View the Orem agenda.

Salt Lake County Council • Will consider a resolution that would remove Special Service District No. 1 out of the ranks of county agencies and on Jan. 1 would make it an independent sanitation district known as Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District; Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2:45 p.m. in the council work session, Room 2003, North Building, 2001 S.
