Gary Andersen, Matt Austin and Kyler Fackrell all said the same thing in the moments following Utah State's 6-3 loss to BYU on Friday night.

The Aggies are still the best team in the state.

The tone's were ones of frustration, especially on the heels of such a difficult defeat. Each told the tale of missed chances and not taking advantage of opportunity when it arose.

"As an offense, we didn't execute," Austin said. "Everyone wants to point the finger at why we lost. But we should've executed our gameplan as an offense and we didn't."

Andersen made sure to place blame on himself and to deflect any blame from Josh Thompson, who missed a 37-yard field goal attempt that could've tied the game in the fourth quarter.

Utah State's special teams made plays - blocking a field goal in the second half. At the same time, missing the equalizer will sting.

This team is a field goal kicker away from being 6-0 on the season. Missing kicks against Wisconsin and BYU will haunt the Aggies when it counts. Still, if USU had been able to put the ball into the end zone in the first quarter, the Aggies would likely have won the game.
