That, ladies and gentlemen, represents the Utah State running game in Friday night's 6-3 defeat at BYU.
Obviously, the Aggie offense wasn't going to be successful without success on the ground.
"We played against a tremendous defense," USU head coach Gary Andersen said. "We did not play well enough on the offensive side of the ball to have a chance to win the football game. I think we run the ball well. To have them take away our running game like that shows what kind of defense BYU truly is."
With Kerwynn Williams basically taken away, Chuckie Keeton was forced to throw 38 times. He completed 22 of those passes. But he was hit mercilessly by the Cougar defense and he was off on a few throws. He could've had a potential touchdown to Chuck Jacobs, but underthrew the wide reciever. He overthrew Matt Austin several times because he had to get rid of the ball early.
The Aggies know they have a week to get ready for Western Athletic Conference play.
And to get their running game back.
