Catholic Women's League luncheon and fashion show

The Catholic Women's League will hold its annual benefit luncheon for the Catholic Community Services Northern Utah Program, serving people of all faiths, and Fisher House, a home for families of veterans being treated at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City.

U.S. immigration research classes

The LDS Family History Library is offering an all-day series of classes on U.S. immigration. The topics include U.S. immigration, 1820-1954, U.S. Naturalization Records and Migration Routes Across America. To register, email FHLClassReg@familysearch.org or call 801-240-4950.

Community Health Fair

The Cross and the Switchblade

The Cross and the Switchblade tells the true story of David Wilkerson's first five years in New York City — where he ministered to disillusioned youths, encouraging them to turn away from drugs and gang violence — and Nicky Cruz, a gang member. Tickets available in the Calvary Chapel's bookstore.

Consecration Sunday

Our Saviour's Lutheran Church will have an all congregation worship service in celebration of Consecration Sunday. Music will be provided by the adult choir and praise band. Pastor Scott Stein from Christ the King in South Jordan will be the guest speaker.

First Baptist Church outreach

First Baptist Church will hold its outreach meeting for those questioning Mormonism. Carl Moore Jr. will perform a Native American hoop dance. Moore grew up LDS in Orem and, as a member of the Hopi nation, will offer a perspective on Mormonism in relation to their beliefs and teachings about Native Americans.

The Book of Mormon Archaeological Forum will convene its Book of Mormon Lands Conference. The keynote speaker will be John L. Lund, motivational speaker, author, tour guide, scholar and consultant.
