The Cougars' women's soccer team got its first conference win by beating San Francisco 3-1 in Provo, where BYU is undefeated. Kyleigh Royall had two goals for the Cougars.

UVU 3, Howard University 0 • The Wolverines shut out the Bison in Washington, D.C., with help by a Howard own goal. Shalayne Janis and Haley Curtis each had first-half goals.

Hawaii Pacific 1, Dixie State 0 • The Red Storm lost in St. George in a lightning-delayed game.

Men's tennis

In the first day of the Utah Intercollegiate Tournament in Salt Lake City, the Utes saw five singles players and two doubles teams advance to the semis.

Dixie State 0, Hawaii Pacific 0 • Both sides came up empty in a PacWest game at St. George, despite the Sea Warriors outshooting the Red Storm 20-16.

Volleyball

BYU 3, Portland 0 • With a 25-22, 25-12, 25-12 win over the Pilots, the Cougars stayed undefeated at home. Heather Hannemann led with 28 assists and 12 digs.

Weber State 3, Eastern Washington 0 • The Wildcats beat the Eagles 25-14, 25-22, 25-18 in Ogden, led by a .769 hitting percentage from Shanae Burgin.

North Dakota 3, Southern Utah 0 • The Thunderbirds fell in straight sets — 25-16, 25-20, 25-19 — in Grand Forks, N.D.

Dixie Sate 3, Domincan of California 0 • The Red Storm rolled to a 25-18, 25-15, 25-19 win in St. George.
