The Salt Lake Office of Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT has announced that commercial real estate veteran Jeff Roberts has joined the firm as a senior associate. Roberts is charged with expanding representation in Utah and the Intermountain area across all major commercial real estate sectors, including local and national, office and restaurants. He has more than 10 years of experience in commercial real estate

Bill Fowler has been named senior vice president of grants for the Daniels Fund, a Denver-based philanthropic organization established by the late Utah Stars basketball team owner Bill Daniels to improve the world, starting in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico.

Erin Kate Cassiere, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, has joined the Layton-based Rocky Mountain Women's Health Center at Davis Medical Group. She earned her medical degree at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine. After medical school, she completed an obstetrics/gynecology residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Rodney Jay, a family practice physician specializing in sports medicine, has joined Davis Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, a member practice of Physician Group of Utah. He earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. After medical school he completed an emergency medicine residency at Loma Linda University in California.

Michael Cosgrave, a primary care physician specializing in family and sports medicine, and Rebecca Tanner, a board-certified internal medicine specialist, have joined Jordan Parkway Medical Group in South Jordan. Cosgrave earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Florida. After medical school he completed a residency in family medicine and a fellowship in sports medicine at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. Tanner earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. After medical school she completed an internal medicine residency at LDS Hospital. She has spent the past five years practicing internal medicine at a private practice in American Fork.

Marlee Dalton, a certified nurse midwife and family nurse practitioner, has joined Tooele Women's Care, in association with Salt Lake Regional Women's Center. This clinic is a member of Physician Group of Utah. She has more than 10 years of experience in private and hospital settings and earned a master's degree in nursing with a family nurse practitioner emphasis from Hawaii Pacific University.

Rick Thaler has been elected to the Economic Development Corp. of Utah's board of trustees. EDCUtah is a public/private partnership that works with state and local governments and private industry to help expand the state's economy. Thaler is a shareholder and member of the executive committee at the Salt Lake City-based law firm of Ray Quinney & Nebeker.

Alliance for a Better Utah has hired Isaac Holyoak as its communications director. Holyoak brings several years of experience in communications and public relations to the position. Prior to joining Better Utah, Holyoak was a communications researcher at Texas A&M. Better Utah is an advocacy organization providing resources, commentary, and action on public policy matters.

Michael E. Jensen, CEO for Davis Hospital and Medical Center in Layton, was recently awarded the 2012 Distinguished Hospital Executive award by the Utah Hospital Association. The award, presented during the group's Fall Leadership Conference at Zermatt Resort in Midway, recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to Utah's health care community. Also, Karen Hale, board chair for Primary Children's Medical Center and a member of the Intermountain Healthcare board of trustees, was recently awarded the Urban Hospital Trustee Service award by the association.

The American Lung Association of the Southwest has announced that Brad Cahoon, a partner in the Salt Lake City law firm of Snell & Wilmer, has been elected chair of the board of directors, which oversees the association's efforts in Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico. Cahoon served as secretary/treasurer of the group for the past two years.

BidSync, an American Fork company that offers government bid notification services and e-procurement solutions, has named Sean Parry vice president of marketing and a member of its executive leadership team. He will oversee marketing strategy, response and lead management activities.
