The Utah Highway Patrol will team up with local law enforcement near Wendover on Interstate 80 this weekend to catch drunken drivers.

Between 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 a.m. Sunday, additional officers will be working late to saturate the area near mile marker 3 on I-80, an operation known as DUI blitz. The goal will be to watch out for suspected intoxicated drivers coming to and from the Deer Widow Weekend promoted by casinos in West Wendover, Nev.

Troopers will be present on the eastbound and westbound lanes.
