Freshman Riley Bradshaw left the Utah State basketball team Monday, The Salt Lake Tribune learned.

A 6-foot-2 point guard from Corvallis, Mont., Bradshaw played eight minutes in the team's first exhibition before electing to leave the team for undisclosed personal reasons. He will transfer from Utah State at the end of the semester.

The departure leaves Utah State with two true point guards, TeNale Roland and Marcel Davis. Both are expected to see consistent minutes this year, but the Aggies could be uncomfortably thin this at the position if one goes down with an injury.

Last year, shooting guard Preston Medlin saw some time at point to relieve depth issues.

The move frees up a scholarship for Utah State that they could use next year. The Aggies already have received commitments from 6-foot-7 wing Jalen Moore and 7-footer Carson Shanks out of Minnesota.

Junior Marvin Jean is an active walk-on who is not currently on scholarship, but NCAA rules prevent the team from giving a scholarship to an active player midseason.

In high school, Bradshaw was the Montana player of the year. He had two points and one assist in the exhibition win over Grand Canyon last Friday.
