Forward Regan Benson scored twice and dished off for two more as Utah Valley pounded Delaware State 5-0 Monday night. For her efforts Benson was named the Great West Conference Player of the Week.

Benson, now with nine goals, helped lift UVU to a perfect 5-0-0 conference mark and the No. 1 seed heading into this weekend's league tournament, to be held at UVU beginning Friday. The Wolverines are trying to become the first team in GWC women's soccer history to win back-to-back tournament championships.

The tournament championship is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday.

On Friday, the No. 3 seed NJIT faces No. 6 seed Howard at 4 p.m., followed by No. 4 seed Delaware State playing No. 5 seed South Carolina State at 7 p.m.

The semifinals will be played on Saturday, with No. 2 seed Houston Baptist against the winner of NJIT-Howard at 4 p.m. Top-seed Utah Valley will entertain the winner of DSU-SCSU at 7 p.m.
