The football season isn't yet over, but the coaching carousel is already starting to whirl.

Park City coach Kai Smalley informed his team Wednesday that he would be resigning after a 1-9 season and a last-place finish in Region 10. The Miners accumulated a 10-21 record during Smalley's tenure over the last three seasons.

Smalley confirmed his resignation in the message to The Tribune on Thursday. As of Thursday afternoon, athletic director Doug Payne said he was still waiting on an official letter of resignation, then the administration would start examining its options for hiring a new coach.

Smalley cited personal reasons for leaving the program.

Weber has opened up a coaching search after wrapping up its second straight winless season under Rick Corbridge. The Warriors are in need of a major turnaround, currently on a 23-game losing streak.

The school is also offering a teaching position to its next head coach. All interested candidates can talk to principal Velden Wardle at 801-476-3700, or apply online through Teachers-Teachers.com.
