Plans for tonight: Sexton at the Depot

• The Utah Jazz play host to the Los Angeles Lakers, at EnergySolutions Arena, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Game starts at 7. Tickets available at Smith's Tix.

• Salt Lake Acting Company presents the regional premiere of Sean Christopher Lewis' comedy "Manning Up" — about two men each waiting for the births of their children — has its debut at SLAC's Chapel Theatre, 168 W. 500 North, Salt Lake City. Tonight's performance begins at 7:30 p.m. (The play runs through Dec. 9; showtimes are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 1 and 6 p.m.) Tickets, from $15 to $38, available at the SLAC website.

• Blues-folk musician Martin Sexton performs at The Depot, 400 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Opening act: The Sun Parade. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $25, at Smith's Tix.

• Indie-rock duo Generationals perform at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Opening act: Races. Show starts at 9. Tickets are $10, at 24Tix.
