Here's what's happening today in pop culture – you know, besides the election:

• There's a civil war brewing between the members of the folk-pop duo The Civil Wars — leading to cancellation of upcoming tour dates. [AP, via The Huffington Post]

• It looks like a "Top Gun" sequel isn't happening now, after the suicide death of the original film's director, Tony Scott. [The New York Times]

• Fantasy author Neil Gaiman is writing another episode of "Doctor Who" — this time with one of The Doctor's arch-nemesis, the Cybermen. [BBC]
