Taryn Wicijowski scored 16 points for the Utes to go along with seven rebounds and seven assists, and Iwalani Rodrigues added 13 points.
Maiya Michel led the Pioneers with 12 points.
"I'm really pleased," Levrets said. "It was the first game of the year, playing against a team under a new head coach, and we didn't have any kind of a scout on this team. Denver is a scrappy group that plays incredibly hard and incredibly well together. We didn't come in here and play the best basketball that we're going to play later in the year, but we certainly played well enough to win and I'm proud of our effort."
Westminster 60, College of Idaho 55, OT • Nicole Yazzie and Kelsi Wells scored 17 points each to lead the Griffins (2-1) to the overtime victory. Cydney Tibbitts had 13 points and 13 rebounds for Westminster.
Chakala Carthen led the Yotes (3-1) with 15 points.
SLCC 70, East Idaho 58 • Rachel Morris and Natalie Parsons scored 13 points each as host Salt Lake Community College (4-1) won its fourth straight game. Diamond Marchand scored 12 points, and Bella Swan added 10 points.
SLCC 103, Arizona Western 95, 2OT • In Topawa, Ariz., Sai Tummala scored 20 points, and Skyler Halford added 19 to lead Salt Lake Community College (3-0) to the win. Tyrell Corbin went 12-for-14 on free throws to help SLCC seal the victory.
BYU 3, Santa Clara 0 • In Provo, Alexa Gray had 13 kills, and Heather Hannemann had 32 assists as the Cougars won their home finale, beating the Broncos 25-9, 25- 19, 25-0 in a West Coast Conference match. Nicole Warner celebrated Senior Day with seven kills and a game-high four blocks for BYU (24-2, 12-2). Santa Clara fell to 20-9 and 9-5.
Sacramento State 3, Weber State 1 • In Ogden, Dama Cox had 10 kills, and Caitlin Penrod had 13 digs and 35 assists for the Wildcats, but the Hornets rallied to win the Big Sky Conference match 24-26, 25-20, 25-16, 25-18.
Utah Valley 3, Chicago State 0 • In Chicago, Erica Nash had 14 kills, and Brookelyn Hall had 30 assists and 10 digs as the Wolverines captured their second straight Great West Conference title with the 25-17, 25-13, 25-20 win. Utah Valley (16-8, 7-1) will share the conference title with Houston Baptist, as the two finished tied at 7-1 and split their two meetings.
Southern Utah 3, Montana 2 • In Missoula, Mont., Cashaana Renfro and Kylie Schofield tallied 14 kills each to lead the Thunderbirds over the Grizzlies. Alissa Youart added 12 kills for the T-birds (11-19, 7-11 Big Sky) and Analaine Mailoto had 11.
In Los Angeles, BYU junior Travis Fillmore won the consolation bracket at the Southern California Intercollegiate Championships, defeating Horea Poritiu of the University of California at San Diego 6-4, 3-6, 10-7.
