Cloudy mornings, sunny afternoons comprise your late-week forecast, northern Utah — lows in the 30s, near 50, after noon; back to typical autumn, and all too soon.

After a spell of above-normal daytime temperatures, and an early snowstorm, the Wasatch Front's November finally has settled into the typical fall forecast the region has come to expect.

Southern Utahns, too, will recognize what the see: under partly cloudy skies on Friday, temperatures will range into the upper-60s with overnight lows in the upper-30s.

Air quality, compromised at the mid-week, was expected to be at a universal "Green," or healthy status Friday and going into the weekend, according to the Utah Division of Air Quality.

Meanwhile, the risk for dangerous snowslides has lessened. Utah Avalanche Center still rated the risk at "considerable" for Salt Lake County's mountain slopes, but the remaining Logan, Ogden, Uintas and Skyline districts were rated at a less-serious "moderate" risk level.

Salt Lake City's high temperature Friday was pegged at 51 degrees, up from Thursday's forecast for 50; Ogden looked for 51s on both days; ditto Provo; Logan 49 and 47 degrees, respectively; Wendover 48 and 45; Duchesne 47 and 48; Cedar City 56 and 60; St. George 66 and 68; and Moab 58 and 56 degrees.
