PBF Energy Inc. • Parsippany, N.J., 16.5 million class A shares, priced $25 to $27, managed by Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. Proposed NYSE symbol PBF. Business: An independent petroleum refiner.

Silver Bay Realty Trust • Minnetonka, Minn., 13.3 million shares, priced $18 to $20, managed by Credit Suisse, BofA Merrill Lynch and J.P. Morgan. Proposed NYSE symbol SBY. Business: Real estate investment trust.

SolarCity Corp. • San Mateo, Ca., 10.1 million shares, priced $13 to $15, managed by Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse and BofA Merrill Lynch. Proposed Nasdaq symbol SCTY. Business: Leases and installs solar energy systems.

Networking luncheon • The Women in the Insurance and Financial Services Industry presents a luncheon-fundraiser for Helping Kids with Cancer, a foundation that provides groceries and gift cards to families of children with cancer during their hospital stay for urgent needs, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, 15 E.
