The wAIRhouse entertainment park has opened in South Salt Lake, just off Interstate 15 at 3653 S. and 500 West.

The 35,000-square-foot venue features trampolines and is home to two full-size Dodge Ball courts, four Slam Dunk basketball lanes, an open jump court and a foam pit.

The facility also features a large cafe serving snacks, drinks and ice cream.

Owners Chris and Kelly Steele of Park City, along with sons Keegan and Collin traveled to several states to research trampoline parks.

"The boys have jumped in at least 15 parks and they love to give us their feedback," said Kelly Steele. "They have been involved in everything, from meeting with the architect and banker to attending auctions."

With five private party rooms, as well as open-air areas, The wAIRhouse also is available for private functions and corporate events.

In addition, the wAIRhouse will offer special-needs jump classes, a home-school co-operative, Kids Get Fit classes, Baby Boomer Bounce for jumpers 50 and older, and monthly youth nights for area groups. —
