Here's your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.
Holladay City Council • Will hold a public hearing on a proposed ordinance change to allow limited (1 to 5 residents) assisted living facilities as a permitted use, and small (6 to 16) residents and large (17 or more residents) facilities as conditional uses in the R-M zones; Thursday, Jan. 3, 6 p.m., 4580 S. 2300 East, Holladay. Taylorsville City Council • Will discuss the process of appointing someone to fill the unexpired term of Mayor Russ Wall, who is resigning to take a position with Salt Lake County; Wednesday, Jan. 2, 6:30 p.m., 2600 W. Utah Division of Air Quality • Will hold a public hearing on Holly Corporation's request to increase the processing of black and yellow wax crudes at its Woods Cross refinery from 26,000 barrels a day to 60,000 barrels a day; Thursday, Jan. 3, 6 p.m., board room of the Multi Agency State Office Building, 195 N. 1950 West, Salt Lake City.
