Ogden police Friday were looking for two male suspects in the robbery of a Newgate Mall business.

Lt. Will Cragun said the thieves struck Morgan Jewelers about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, prying off the top of a display case to grab 60-70 pieces of jewelry before fleeing the mall on foot. Witnesses said the two then got into a red, four-door passenger car and sped away.

No one was injured during the incident, which police said took place in less than three minutes.

The suspects were described as two black men, ages 30-40. One was 5 feet 7 inches tall and overweight, the other thin and 6 feet 1 inche tall. Both wore dark jackets and ball caps.

Anyone with information related to the robbery may call Ogden police at 801-395-8221.
