BYU's women's basketball team routed Western New Mexico in Provo 72-31, at one point leading by as much as 44 points. The Cougars shot 47.5 percent from the field and held the Mustangs to 23.4 percent. Western New Mexico didn't make a field goal until 9:33 left in the first half.

Utah State 79, UT San Antonio 66 (OT) • The Aggies powered through overtime to beat the Roadrunners in Logan. Jennifer Schlott led three USU players in double digits, with 24 points, five assists and five rebounds.

Southern Utah 66, Utah Valley 49 • In Cedar City, the Thunderbirds beat the Wolverines for the second time this season and the seventh time in a row. Kimi Hawkins and Sofia Hepworth each had 13 points for SUU, and Sammie Jensen led UVU with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Westminster 62, Westmont 29 • The Griffins dominated in Santa Barbara, Calif., holding their opponent to only nine field goals and forcing 17 turnovers. Kelsi Wells led Westminster with a career-high 22 points.

Mesa Community College 38, Salt Lake Community College 36 • A Mesa 3-pointer in the last seconds erased the Bruins' small lead and handed SLCC a loss in the final game of the Bill Culver Classic in Mesa, Ariz. Summer Yack led the Bruins with nine points.

Central Arizona 60, Snow College 34 • The Badgers lost their last game of the Bruce Fleck Classic in Tucson, Ariz.

Men's basketball

Chattanooga 76, Utah Valley 69 • The Wolverines lost the championship game of the Dr Pepper Classic in Chattanooga, Tenn., despite 37 points from Holton Hunsaker. The junior tied UVU's record for 3-pointers, with eight.

Southern Utah 51, Northern Colorado 50 • The Thunderbirds eked out a win in Cedar City, thanks to a layup by Wade Collie in the last seconds of the game. Collie ended with 13 points and six rebounds, and Jackson Stevenett added 14 points and four assists.

Salt Lake Community College 69, Eastern Mississippi Community College 61 • At the Fiesta Bowl Junior College Shootout in Mesa Ariz., the Bruins extended their win streak to eight. JuWan Buchanan led SLCC with 21 points.

Westminster 78, Westmont 71 • The Griffins rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to win in Santa Barbara, Calif.
