It was a joke

I also attended Donny and Marie Osmond's Christmas show at Abravanel Hall and saw the same video footage of Donny pushing a policeman and throwing a drink into a motorcyclist's face that so offended Terrell Dougan ("The new Donny?" Forum, Dec. 29).

It was a joke, a bit of fun entertainment. It was a skit with actors, just shown for humor. And it got laughs; none of those people was hurt.

Very few people in the audience took it seriously or were offended. Donny is the same fun, kind, caring and wonderful entertainer he has always been.
