It's been an injury-plagued season for the junior guard, which has prevented him from getting into much of a flow with the basketball.

Dotson missed the first month of the year with a stress fracture before coming back in December. He just missed Saturday's matchup with USC because of a sore knee that apparently needs rest.

"We just decided to kind of shut him down for a few days," Utah head coach Larry Krystkowiak said. "His knee was responding well enough. We needed to get him some rest."

Dotson is officially listed as day-to-day. In his place on Saturday, freshman Justin Seymour received his first extended bit of playing time since the Pac-12 Conference schedule started.

It's been hoped that Dotson could be the breakdown guy from the wing that Utah desperately needs. But he's been rusty in the month since his return from surgery. He looked good against Arizona, but hasn't truly had a breakout game where he's made an impact scoring the ball.
