Baseball legend Tommy Lasorda will be making his way to Salt Lake City next month.

The former Los Angeles Dodgers manager who led his team to two World Series titles will be the main event of "An evening with Tommy Lasorda," on Monday, Feb. 11, at the Sheraton Salt Lake City Hotel hosted by the University of Utah baseball team.

"We've been fortunate to have a variety of baseball greats for our season-opening banquet, and Tommy Lasorda is no exception," Utah head coach Bill Kinneberg said in a release. "He is well known for his engaging personality and it is an honor for our team and fans to have him attend."

During his 20-year tenure as manager of the Dodgers, Lasorda won two championships, four National League pennants and eight division titles. Lasorda has been with the Los Angeles organization for 63 seasons after recently moving into an executive position since his retirement from managing. He also managed the United States to its first-ever gold medal in baseball at the 2000 Olympic Summer Games in Sydney, Australia.

Lasorda was inducted to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997.

The evening will feature a reception at 6 p.m., with dinner beginning at 7 p.m.
