A 25-year-old Lehi man has pleaded guilty to killing a man outside an American Fork bar last year.
Eon Clayton McNeill pleaded guilty on Tuesday to third-degree felony counts of criminal homicide by assault and obstructing justice.
Fourth District Judge Thomas Low immediately sentenced him to up to five years in prison and ordered $10,000 in restitution.
Police said victim Trenton Hall, 35, was at a bar on Jan. 28 when he became intoxicated and a bartender escorted him outside. Authorities said McNeill had been watching Hall and was irritated with Hall's behavior so he decided to follow him outside the bar. McNeill threw a single punch to Hall's head, knocking him to the ground.
Hall struck his head on the pavement, which caused a skull fracture and bleeding in the brain. Hall died from his injuries Feb. 4.
