Product • LG and Kenmore Elite Brand top-loading washing machine models, manufactured between February 2010 and November 2011.

Problem • An unbalanced load can cause the washing machine to shake excessively and the drum to come loose during use, posing a risk of injury. Consumers who have observed this problem should stop using it immediately and contact LG or Sears immediately for a free in-home repair. Consumers also should be aware that loading machines with waterproof or water-resistant items, such as mattress pads, increases the chances of loads being unbalanced.

For LG call toll-free at 855-400-4639, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 6 a.m. to noon Saturday, or online at and click on "Public Notices."

For Kenmore or LG washers purchased at Sears or Kmart call toll-free at 888-812-2935, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, or online at and click on "Customer Service Home," then "Product Recalls" in the "Product Information" section.

Vehicles • Chevrolet Colorados and GMC Canyons, 2010 - 2012

Problem • The vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, "Hood Latch System." The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch. If the primary hood latch is not engaged, the hood could open unexpectedly. General Motors will notify owners and instruct them to inspect their vehicle for the presence of a secondary hood latch. Dealers will replace the hood on any affected vehicles for free. Owners may contact Chevrolet at 800-630-2438 or GMC at 866-996-9463.
