Last September, first lady Michelle Obama gave a wonderful speech at the Democratic National Convention. However, one sentence bothered me a great deal, when she sweetly said that President Barack Obama "believes that women are more than capable of making our own choices about our bodies and our health care," meaning, of course, abortion.

Certainly, a woman has the right to do what she wants with her body. But if she is pregnant, the precious body she is carrying does not belong to her. It belongs to her baby who will be born in due time.

I ask any woman considering abortion to ask herself: Where would I be if my mother had aborted me?

Many couples would love to take these babies. Please consider adoption.
