A 27-year-old Orem man has been arrested after police say he met two 14-year-old Utah County girls online and engaged in sexual activities with them.

Eugene Joseph Salazar was arrested last week on suspicion of several sex abuse-related felonies, including forcible sodomy, forcible sex abuse and dealing in harmful material to a minor.

He was booked into the Utah County jail, but charges have not been officially filed against him as of Wednesday. An initial appearance is set for Friday in 4th District Court.

According to arrest warrants, police agencies in Lehi and Mapleton believe Salazar had sexual relations with two teens from each of their cities and that he met them online using the social network

In both cases, police say Salazar sent pictures of his genitals to the underage girls. The girls told police that Salazar told them he was 16 years old, and both said they sneaked out of their parents' homes to rendezvous with Salazar in his vehicle, where the sex acts allegedly occurred.

The victim from Lehi had kept a record of men that she had met online and had sexual intercourse with, police say.

Salazar, when interviewed by Lehi police, allegedly told them he only sent photos of his genitals to women over the age of 18, and that he "had not had sex with anyone for a long time," according to an arrest warrant.

Salazar is being held in the jail on $10,000 cash-only bail.
