Aircraft • The joint U.S. and Japanese probe into the Boeing 787's problems has shifted from the battery-maker to the manufacturer of a system that monitors voltage, charging and temperature of the lithium-ion batteries. Japan transport ministry officials said they will inspect Kanto Aircraft Instrument Co. as they continue to investigate the battery problems that led to all 50 of the aircraft being grounded around the world.
