The Utah Department of Transportation Tuesday morning restricted travel through Big and Little Cottonwood canyons east of Salt Lake City, and Sardine Canyon near Logan to four-wheel drive rigs or vehicles with tire chains due to heavy snowfall and visibility hampering winds in the 15-25 mph range. Interstate 80 through Parleys Canyon was restricted to chains for all semi-trailer rigs.
