American Hannah Kearney won gold in the freestyle World Cup dual moguls finals Saturday at Deer Valley in Park City, edging top-ranked Justine Dufour-Lapointe of Canada. Kearney swept the moguls at the competition and showed she is strong as ever after a serious training accident in October. Kazakhstan's Yulia Galysheva edged American K.C. Oakley for the final podium spot.
Reigning Olympic gold medalist Alex Bilodeau of Canada finished five-hundredths of a second ahead of American Patrick Deneen down the Champion Course at Park City's Deer Valley Resort and narrowly claimed the men's dual moguls title.
American Bradley Wilson earned his first career podium by defeating Russia's Alexander Smyshlyaev for third.
Two-time Olympic champion Charles Hamelin won the 500-meter race at the short-track speedskating World Cup in Sochi, Russia. The Canadian claimed his second victory of the season in 41.092 seconds at the Iceberg arena, which will host the short-track and figure skating events at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. Wu Daijing of China was second in 41.095, while Vladimir Grigorev of Russia was third.
Noh Jinkyu led a South Korean sweep of the podium in the 1,500, clocking 2:17.482 for his fourth win of the season. Kim Yun-Jae was second and Kwak Yoon-Gy was third
Four-time Olympic champion Wang Meng of China won the women's 500 in 43.231 ahead of Ariana Fontana of Italy and Liu Qiuhong of China.
Shim Suk-hee of South Korea claimed 1,500 for her fifth victory of the season with a time of 2:26.338. Li Jianrou of China was second ahead of Elise Christie of Britain.
Canadian Chris Robanske won the men's World Cup snowboard cross event in Blue Mountain, Ontario. Australia's Alex Pullin was second, and American Nick Baumgartner was third. Robanske lost momentum off of an early jump but was able to come from behind.
Eva Samkova of the Czech Republic won the women's race. Canada's Dominique Maltais was second and France's Nelly Moenne Loccoz third.
Samkova passed Maltais on a turn halfway down the course and was able to hold on for the win.
