Provo police are investigating two separate vehicle fires set on the same street on the city's northwest side.

KUTV 2 News reports the fires were spotted about 3 a.m. Tuesday in the area of 750 West 1020 North. Neighbors said they had first heard an explosion and discovered one car and a pickup truck ablaze when they investigated.

Police say a man dressed in dark clothing was seen near the vehicles. He remained at large.

No injuries were reported.
