West Valley City Historical Society

The West Valley City Historical Society is seeking individuals or families who are descendants of the first settlers. Several pioneer founding families settled in the late 1800s and early 1900s in the areas that would become Hunter, Granger and Chesterfield, and West Valley City. Utah Pride Festival Community Award Nominations

Organizers of the 2013 Utah Pride Festival are calling for nominations for the Dr. Kristen Ries Community Service Award and the Pete Suazo Political Action Award. Nominations for the awards are due March 3. Nominations can be made online at www.utahpridefestival.org or by sending an email to awards@utahpridefestival.org.

Dancing with the Salt Lake Stars

Local Salt Lake City celebrities are hoping their fancy footwork will help create a Utah with less cancer and more birthdays, as they take to the dance floor for the annual "Dancing with the Salt Lake Stars" competition supporting American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
