A law professor has been named as interim dean at the University of Utah's S.J. Quinney College of Law.

Robert Adler has also served as associate dean for academic affairs and chair of the new building committee. He joined the faculty in 1994. His new appointment must be approved by the U.'s Board of Trustees and is set to take effect July 1.

He is slated to replace Hiram Chodosh, who announced in December he was leaving to be president of Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, Calif.
