Jonathan Daniels, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, has joined Copper Canyon Women's Center in West Valley City. The clinic is a member of Physician Group of Utah. Daniels has practiced medicine for more than 19 years. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston.

The Utah Grizzlies and the Maverik Center announced that Cris Carrico has been named vice president of corporate partnerships. He brings nearly 30 years of sports management and media experience to the Grizzlies, including time in the National Basketball Association with the San Antonio Spurs where he served as sales manager for corporate partnership development from 2010-2011. In addition, the team has announced that Becca Sedler has been promoted to director of partnership services and that Chip Reynolds was hired as director of corporate partnerships. Sedler joined the organization in July 2011 from Park City Mountain Resort as marketing coordinator. Reynolds has worked in the NBA with the New Orleans Hornets and Memphis Grizzlies.

David Hoopes has joined CBIZ MHM LLC as managing director, and Mayer Hoffman McCann PC in Salt Lake City as a shareholder. During his 25-year career, Hoopes has provided specialized accounting and consulting services to multinational corporations, privately held companies and partnerships. CBIZ provides professional business services that help clients better manage their finances and employees. Mayer Hoffman McCann has more than 35 offices nationwide and more than 295 shareholders.

The architectural design firm HKS has promoted Michael Vela to a principal of the firm. Emir Tursic was promoted to vice president. Lance Shields and Rob Waters were promoted to associates.

Troy North of Gramoll Construction, North Salt Lake City, was named the Superintendent of the Year at the annual awards banquet of the Associated General Contractors of Utah.

The Governor's Office of Economic Development has announced that Harvey Scott has been appointed as director of its International Trade and Diplomacy Office. Scott has served as the office's regional director of the Americas since June 2012.

Deer Valley Resort has hired two new general managers for luxury properties managed by the Park City-area ski destination. Anthony Bartholomew will run the Lodges at Deer Valley, while John Whitby will be the general manager at Black Diamond Lodge. Whitby joined Deer Valley from Telluride, Colo., where he was owner/operator of a resort-services business. Bartholomew is a 25-year veteran of the hospitality industry, including 12 years at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City.
