Utah managed only five hits and couldn't hold on to an early lead as it lost to Dartmouth 5-2 in college baseball action Sunday at the Dairy Queen Classic at the Metrodome in Minneapolis.

The Utes (5-5) scored twice in the bottom of the second inning to take a 2-1 lead. But the Big Green (3-0) tied the game in the sixth and took the lead for good with a three-run seventh.

Softball

Boise State 2, Utah State 0 • The winless Aggies (0-20) stayed close with the Broncos but couldn't overcome a sixth-inning Bronco homer at the San Diego Classic.

Weber State • Krystin Kubo's two-run single in the seventh rallied the Wildcats to their first victory of the season, 3-1 over Cal State Northridge at the Eller Media Stadium Classic in Las Vegas. Later on Sunday, Weber lost to New Mexico State 2-0.

Southern Utah 9, Nevada 5 • The Thunderbirds (3-13) ended a seven-game skid with a victory at the Libby Matson Classic in Stockton, Calif. Kari Henderson went 3-for-4 with a homer and four RBIs to lead SUU.
