Your town in brief: Choral concert in Kaysville

Beautiful music • The Young Artists in Concert performance features the Madrigal Singers from Syracuse High School, the Veloce Quartet and the Esterhazy Quartet. The free concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the Kaysville Tabernacle, 198 W. Center St.


Roadwork ahead • East Chase Lane between Main Street and Oakridge Drive will be open for local traffic only starting Monday, March 11, as crews replace irrigation and gas lines. The work is expected to be finished by early June.

Luncheon for women • In honor of International Women's Day, Soroptimist of Bountiful is hosting a $15 luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 1131 S. Main St. Holly Mullen, the executive director of the Rape Recovery Center, will speak. Call Esther at 801-294-4542 to reserve a spot. Attendees also can pay at the door.
