High temperatures Friday for the Wasatch Front were predicted to be in the mid-40s, about the same as Thursday's forecast. Utah's Dixie, meanwhile, looked for highs in the mid-50s, down a few degrees from Thursday, with winds in the 10-25 mph range.
Thursday began with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until noon for the Wasatch Mountains north of Interstate 80 to the Idaho border. Snowfall of 5-9 inches was expected at higher elevations, with 1-4 inches anticipated for lower elevations.
