DeWayne Dedmon, the starting center for USC will not play against Utah on Wednesday night in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament. The seven-footer was suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules.

He was involved in a brawl after the Trojans lost to Washington State on Saturday. The Spokane Police Department is investigating the incident.

That makes a potentially major impact of the matchup with Utah. Dedmon dominated the Utes in an earlier matchup at the Huntsman Center, scoring 13 points, grabbing 13 rebounds and blocking five shots. His ability to lock down the paint took away Jason Washburn and a huge chunk of Utah's offense.

The two teams meet on Wednesday night. The winner will face California on Thursday night in the quarterfinal round.
